ICPA Launches New Professional Standards Framework 2026

The International Commission for Professional Accreditation announces the release of its updated Professional Standards Framework (PSF) version 2026.

The International Commission for Professional Accreditation (ICPA) is pleased to announce the release of the ICPA Professional Standards Framework (PSF) version 2026, representing the most comprehensive update to global accreditation criteria in the past five years.

The updated framework introduces enhanced requirements for digital credentialing, AI-augmented assessment integrity, equity in examination access, and post-issuance surveillance. All currently accredited bodies will have 18 months to transition to the new framework.

Key highlights of PSF-2026 include:

  • New chapter on AI and remote-proctoring controls
  • Strengthened ethics and conflict-of-interest provisions
  • Expanded mutual-recognition annex covering 47 jurisdictions
  • Updated risk-based surveillance methodology

The full framework is available in the Resources section.
